This is the initial release of OmniPlan for iOS 3.0.

  • Network View — An elegant and easy way to rapidly prototype and visualize your project’s flow as a network diagram of nodes connected by dependencies.
  • Meeting Task Type — A new resource allocation option that allows you to specify if multiple resources need to work on a task independently or simultaneously.
  • Catch-Up — If everything is going as planned, bring the completion percentage of every task (or just the selected tasks) in your project up to today’s date.
  • Reschedule — If you have tasks which were planned to be complete by now, but aren’t, reschedule them.
  • Leveling Priority — Define leveling priority for tasks in your project.
  • Display Off-Hours — Display all off-hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Unlinked Duration and Effort — Set different values for a task’s effort and duration, then let OmniPlan crunch the numbers for your resource assignment percentage.
  • Microsoft Project 2016 Support (PRO) — Import support for Microsoft Project 2016 files.
  • Monte Carlo Simulation (PRO) — Run multiple simulations in seconds to forecast milestone completion dates with varying levels of confidence.
  • Auto-Effort Estimation (PRO) — Think some tasks might take longer or finish earlier than expected? Let OmniPlan assign your best and worst case estimates to account for every scenario.

OmniPlan for iOS v2.5 adds support for in-app announcements.

  • Announcements — In-app announcement feature to display notifications from The Omni Group. This feature will only be used to inform users of important information: when a new major version has been released, for example, or if action is required to prevent data loss.

OmniPlan for iOS v2.4 is a major update that adds automatic document syncing through OmniPresence, support for iPad Pro, and displays hardware keyboard shortcuts.

  • OmniPresence Syncing — Support for syncing your documents between devices is now available through OmniPresence. View the help documentation for more information on how to use it.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts — When using a wireless keyboard, hold down the Command key to see a list of the relevant keyboard shortcuts at your disposal.
  • Resource Icons — Updated the look of the resource, staff, and group icons to match the icons introduced in OmniPlan v3.0 for the Mac.
  • Calendar Work Hours — Fixed an issue where the calendar headings were being pushed off to the right side of the screen.
  • Calendar Work Hours — Adjusted the margins of the working hours calendar so it’s easier to select and manipulate time blocks now.
  • Task Inspector — Re-added the ability to select and modify multiple selected tasks while in Edit Mode.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash involving the import of large MS Project MPP files.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash that could occur when attempting to open a project from a server repository.
  • Stability — Fixed a crash that could occur if a resource’s efficiency was changed to nil in Change Tracking.

  • 3D Touch — Added 3D Touch launch shortcuts to the OmniPlan app icon. On iPhone 6S and 6S Plus you can launch directly into a new document or one of your recently edited documents.

OmniPlan v2.2 for iOS adds Multitasking and Spotlight support. For this reason, OmniPlan now requires iOS 9.

  • Split-Screen Multitasking — OmniPlan supports split-screen multitasking on iOS 9 devices that support this feature.
  • Spotlight Search — Spotlight and Content Indexing has been added for iOS 9.
