OmniFocus for iPhone 2.4.1

December 10, 2014

Requires iOS 8

OmniFocus 2.4.1 fixes several problems, including crashes, present in version 2.4. Thanks for your patience while we worked on the following fixes:

  • Settings — You can once again change notification settings.
  • Home Screen — Fixed several cosmetic problems, including empty rows, misaligned animations, and text that was too light.
  • Launch Time — Improved launch time.
  • Row Layout — Project and Project Folder titles were truncating at one line, but sizing for their entire length.
  • Forecast — Fixed a problem with empty rows or rows containing only “Inbox”, content getting garbled when crossing over midnight, and Calendar appointments being hidden by default.
  • Hangs and Freezes — related to the up/down arrows in the Editor and/or setting Due/Defer times
  • Crashes — Several other sources of crashing
  • URL Scheme — The app no longer opens to a blank screen when launched via omnifocus:/// url
  • Sync — OmniFocus once again begins a sync automatically when leaving the app.

OmniFocus for Mac 2.0.4

December 7, 2014

Requires OS X 10.9

OmniFocus 2.0.4 adds localizations and fixes several problems present in previous versions.

  • Localizations — Localized OmniFocus in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. OmniFocus Help and related documents are not yet localized.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the focus wouldn’t immediately refresh the task list in some perspectives.
  • Switching to a built-in perspective will now reset the current search just like switching to a custom perspective does. This means that switching to a perspective with a built-in search will no longer leave that search lying around when switching back to a built-in perspective.
  • Fixed a rare database issue where many divergent transactions could yield a merge transaction with a very long filename–a filename which was so long that it couldn’t actually be written to the filesystem. This would result in an “Unable to check for existence” error which made it impossible to sync or make further edits to that database without help from our support humans.

OmniFocus for iPhone 2.3.3

November 3, 2014

Requires iOS 7

When we added support for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in v2.3.2, we introduced an compatibility issue with iOS 7 which made it impossible to edit action titles on iOS 7. Our sincerest apologies! This v2.3.3 update fixes that issue.

This v2.3.3 update also fixes an iOS 8 compatibility issue which was causing crashes when entering text with a non-Roman keyboard.
