We’re excited for the release of iOS 12 today — especially for Siri Shortcuts!
We’ve been working hard on our apps to get them ready, and today we have updates to OmniFocus and OmniGraffle. OmniPlan and OmniOutliner updates are coming soon.
Here’s the scoop on each:
OmniFocus
OmniFocus 3.1 for iOS is up on the App Store with support for Siri Shortcuts and for the Apple Watch Siri Face.
Siri will start suggesting activities — in Spotlight, on the lock screen, and in Siri Settings — based on things you do: viewing parts of your database, creating new items, and completing repeating tasks.
Some Siri Shortcuts can also appear in the Apple Watch Siri Face: marking a repeating action complete, viewing a project with a due date, and viewing a tag with a location.
Other changes include Handoff support and an enhancement to custom perspectives. See the release notes for details.
OmniGraffle
OmniGraffle 3.7 for iOS adds support for Siri Shortcuts and fixes a number of bugs.
Siri will suggest opening existing documents and creating new documents based on your observed patterns. As with OmniFocus, these suggestions can appear in Spotlight, on the lock screen, and in Siri Settings.
OmniOutliner Import has been enhanced: contents are now laid out on a canvas using Infinite Canvas Mode.
And several bugs — related to nudging, orthogonal lines, masking, and more — were fixed. See the release notes for the complete list.
